Why I Love Coaching, Being Coached & The Power of Being Truly Seen

One of the most transformative things I have ever experienced is being deeply seen, heard, and reflected back to myself through coaching.

Not judged. Not “fixed.” Not told who I should be.

Just given the space to slow down, think honestly, reconnect with myself, and hear my own truth more clearly.

That is why I love coaching others. I love holding that space for people. I truly feel uplifted when I finish a session with a client and know they intentionally held space for themselves, and I was honoured to be the facilitator of that space.

And honestly?

That is also why I love being coached too. I have very special relationships with the people who hold space for me. The energy exchange is beautiful.

Coaching Helped Me Hear Myself Clearly

One of the biggest things coaching gave me was space.

Space to slow down. Space to process my emotions honestly. Space to reflect intentionally instead of constantly reacting to life.

I think so many of us move through life overstimulated, distracted, busy, and disconnected from ourselves without even realising it. We are constantly consuming, rushing, scrolling, working, worrying, and surviving.

Coaching helped me hear myself more clearly again.

It helped me recognise patterns. Notice what was draining me. Become more aware of how I was thinking, speaking, and showing up in my life.

Sometimes clarity does not come from someone giving you answers. Sometimes it comes from finally having the space to hear your own thoughts properly.

The Power of Being Properly Listened To

I honestly think one of the most healing things in the world is being genuinely listened to.

Not interrupted. Not judged. Not “fixed.” Not projected onto.

Just listened to fully and intentionally.

That is rarer than people realise.

So many people carry emotions, fears, dreams, confusion, pressure, and internal battles silently while still functioning daily.

Coaching creates a space where people can feel:

  • emotionally safe

  • calmer

  • clearer

  • empowered

  • more self-aware

Sometimes people do not need someone to rescue them. They simply need space to process honestly and reconnect with themselves.

Why I Love Coaching Others

That is why I love coaching others so much.

I love witnessing the moments where things begin to click for someone. When confusion becomes clarity. When self-doubt softens slightly. When someone reconnects with their confidence, truth, or direction again.

I love watching people realise they already carry more wisdom, strength, and self-awareness than they thought they did.

I do not believe coaching is about having all the answers for people. For me, it is more about helping people access their own wisdom more clearly.

My Retreat Experience

One of the most powerful experiences I have had recently was attending a retreat.

There was something incredibly healing about slowing down intentionally. Stepping away from constant stimulation. Being present. Reflecting. Having meaningful conversations. Feeling emotionally safe enough to soften.

I realised how much the nervous system changes when you are in spaces that feel calm, intentional, supportive, and connected.

Some conversations stayed with me deeply afterwards. Some moments brought emotional breakthroughs I did not even realise I needed.

And honestly, it reminded me how transformative intentional spaces can be.

We underestimate how much healing can happen when people feel safe enough to simply be.

Healing has layers. Growth is ongoing. There are always deeper parts of yourself to understand.

Coaches still need support. Still need reflection. Still need spaces where they can slow down and reconnect with themselves too.

I think having intentional reflective spaces matters at every stage of life.

The older I get, the more I realise transformation rarely comes from constantly rushing.

Sometimes it comes from slowing down enough to truly hear yourself again.

And coaching, for me, has been one of the spaces that has allowed me to do exactly that.
